FAQs

I have seen mass-payment services with cheaper rates.

Solar Staff is not a mass-payments service. Our mission is to make relationships between organizations and freelancers simple and more productive, automating paperwork and optimizing costs. We provide more options than other services; therefore, we bear more operating expenses. That's why our rates are higher.

Can I try Solar Staff for free?

Of course! You just need to send us a request for demo access, and we’ll deploy a fully-functional test version for you, demonstrating how to use it.

How is the size of the commission calculated?

The size of the commission depends on your rate and the amount of payments made via Solar Staff. The higher your monthly turnover is, the cheaper service costs you.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept non-cash payments from bank accounts only. For that, you need to generate an invoice with the necessary refill amount in your Solar Staff account, then click the «Account Top-Up» button. Currently, we are working on implementing payment services via MasterCard and VISA cards.

Should freelancers pay any fees?

No. Solar Staff has no hidden fees or extra charges. Our rates include all service expenses, such as payment systems and banking commissions. Contractors do not pay anything for receiving the money.

Why is your commission so high?

Our calculations and our customers’ experience prove that our rates are reasonable.

First, direct and indirect profits we generate for our clients by optimizing processes and tax planning are much higher than the cost of services we provide. Otherwise, we would not be able to operate and develop in today's market conditions.

The second reason involves transaction expenses. Server capacity maintenance, salaries for lawyers and programmers, our payment partners' commissions and fees; all these costs are included in commission.
